Usage des corps et modèles "franceétangers" dans les sociétés de gymnastique du Nord : la toile e(s)t le réseau (1869-1914)

Abstract : What is the weight of the foreign influences in the advent of the gymnastics societies in the North department from 1869 to 1914 ? By studying the history of these practices described as "conscriptives" from the angle of the favoured conceptions and uses of the body, the point is to bring to the fore that the North department is a favourable crossroad for the introduction of foreign practices. The Nothern permeability would depend on setting up and structuring (on more or less a large-scale) specific networks of diffusion underlining the concerns of the moment. The network weaves its web and defines then "Frenchforeign" gymnastics, both French and foreign without it being exactly one or the other : "alter ego" gymnastics whose representations shape the favoured speeches and techniques as far as to allow, in the beginning of the 20th century, the transition from gymnastics to "French physical education.
