Deux régimes temporels du faux dépaysement dans trois romans de Modiano : dormance et résurgence

Abstract : The three novels of Modiano, Quartier perdu (1985), Vestiaire de l’enfance (1989) and Voyage de noces (1990) recount a particular change of scene felt by a character-narrator with regard to his own country and his own language. After having defined this fake change of scene and explained this phenomenon, which is closed to déjà-vu, it is about analysing the two temporalities that form it and build sequences up, in order to question about the vision of the country, the language and the identity, which results from it.
