Ferrán Sánchez de Valladolid et le molinismo : la représentation du pouvoir dans la Chronique de trois rois et la Chronique d’Alphonse XI (milieu XIVe s.)

Abstract : The purpose of this article is to show how the Castilian Chronicles, written twenty years after the death of Maria de Molina, perpetuate some aspects of the molinismo to represent Alfonso XI as a model king, like his ancestor Ferdinand III. In fact, from Alfonso X to Alfonso XI, portraits of monarchs seem to have been designed in reference to this original model in order to highlight the full legitimacy of Sancho IV’s lineage. And stands, despite the vicissitudes that puntuate the different successive reigns, the image of a perfect continuity of the royal power, carried especially by Maria de Molina whom Ferrán Sánchez de Valladolid describes as the worthy successor of her female ancestors, and particularly her grandmother Berengaria
