« J’ai plus de souvenirs que si j'avais mille ans » : le musée et ses avatars chez Jean-Philippe Toussaint

Abstract : The paper analyses the way museums are represented in Toussaint’s novels. It shows that museums magnetize them and are alternately sought and critized. If museums of (contemporary) art are the place where works of art are exhibited, they are also a metonymic place where Marie (character), Jean-Philippe’s art, writing are exhibited in the process of being elaborated, where the thoughts of the narrator and the author reveal themselves in the photographic and epiphanic sense of the term.
