Abstract

Scientific and technical progress, increase in patients‘ expectations, changes in demand and supply, depletion of resources, but also health crises (like Covid-19 pandemic), generate a lot of value conflicts that weaken care practices. Ethics in health now appears as a normative assessment for establishments. More an institutional duty, ethics is moving away from a medical approach to offer meaningful ways to health professionals for the benefit of care receivers. This article is about ethics in health and especially its development by care givers in their professional context, looking together the least wrong answer. It questions origins of ethics in health (why?), its aims (for...what?) as well as its implementation conditions (how?).
