Travailler son corps : complément du capital scolaire sur le marché du travail ? Stratégies d'anticipation d'étudiantes

Abstract : Number of surveys show students as they were confronted with the difficult search for career openings. On the contrary, female students who practice physical activities, to be in « good form », at the sporting department of the university of Valenciennes, have already defined their professional project. Indeed, they develop innovating strategies of training by trying, more or less consciously, to compensate structural inadequacy between the University system and requirements of the labour market. A survey, based on a questionnaire and proposed to 223 students, reveals some of them look for better chances of professional integration, by physical practices, aimed to increase a bodily capital. In a certain way, this latter seems to complete educational capital on the labour market. However, results show these anticipative strategies are widely dependent on social origin of the students and the nature of professional project, which was expressed.
