Se forger une apparence « recrutable » : une stratégie d'insertion professionnelle des étudiant(e)s

Abstract : The employability of the students start before the end of their schooling, some strategies developed during the studies could affect the career later. This article will examine a proactive strategy to work on innovative appearances. Based on the results of a investigation conducted by interviews with students, future candidates for the professions trade framework, it shows how these young people are using various corporal practices, trying to increase their body capital. According to them, this particular form of capital will become effective upon their access to the labour market and will facilitate their chances of employability, despite the existence of french legislative framework in matter of struggle against discrimination. The analysis of results, in terms of social relationships of gender and class, uncovers three distinct types of strategies.
