Abstract : How work the evaluations of the referees of amateur football ? The modalities of evaluation used by the sports authorities are analyzed to judge the referees activity and to rank them. Resting on an equipment and a metrics complex, the processes of evaluation formalize and build the “good referee”. Nevertheless, they are influenced by the categories of perception of the reviewers and by the games of power generated by the situation of evaluation. The evaluative process confirm trends observed in other domains (formation, recruitment, evaluation of the work).
