Determination of Winding Lumped Parameter Equivalent Circuit by Means of Finite Element Method

Abstract : In this paper, the finite element method is used in order to determine the electrical parameters of a machine winding lumped element model. Thanks to this model, it will be possible to determine the electrical behavior of electrical machine winding fed by a power converter and thus to study the distribution of the turn-to-turn maximum voltage stress as early as the design process. The suitability of the method is validated by comparison with measurements.
