Having defined the notion of “intercultural,” I examine in detail the conditions, such as incertitude and movement, to produce the “intercultural.” I analyze three constituent parameters in the literary field : polyphony, spaces conducive to nomadization, and the spirit of adventure that J.M.G. Le Clézio explores in particular in his short story “À peu près Apologue” (Histoire du pied et autres fantaisies, Paris: Gallimard, 2011).
