Some theatrical adaptations of tales of Perrault and Grimm show close links between contemporary youth theatre and literary or folkloric tale. In transposing the onstage narrator's voice and the reality behind the fantasy, these pieces give to see rational and emotional approaches of tales. Through its unique language, the theatre gives to see the workings of creation and reception of tales.

L’analyse d’adaptations théâtrales des contes merveilleux de Perrault et de Grimm souligne les liens étroits qui existent entre le théâtre contemporain de jeunesse et le conte, dans sa version littéraire ou folklorique. En transposant sur scène la voix du conteur, en dévoilant l’articulation du réel et de l’imaginaire, ces pièces rendent visibles deux approches rationnelle et intuitive des contes. Par son langage singulier, le théâtre fait donc apparaitre les rouages de création et de réception des contes.
