Adamantoylated monosaccharides: new compounds for modification of the properties of cyclodextrin-containing materials

Abstract

Adamantoyl glycosides were obtained in good yields by coupling adamantanecarboxylic acid with monosaccharides. They form very stable inclusion complexes with β-cyclodextrin, as shown by 1H NMR measurements.
